Medea!Hi! I don't beleive you found me. Sorry, I'm moderating my comments right now, and I only check them about once every day or two. Emailing immediately. Jill
I found your review lucid and insightful. You're spot-on about associating Reacher Gilt with Conrad Black (my nickname for him is Lord Crosspatch) and you're the only one I can find on the internet who's done that. Experience has taught me however, that if an author paints an accurate portrait of a knave, it is rarely cautionary. It is often based on their "autobiography" or someone they admire. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree and all that.
I'm teaching myself to write fantasy and love to hear what other people like and don't like about the genre. Specifically, would you care to make any further comments on what you like or don't about Pratchett's work? For instance, do you feel that it could use a woman's touch, or is the mix about right? What would you like more of, or added, or less? You have a very active life, but if my questions are too much, then please ignore this. If you would enjoy putting your thoughts down, I would be very interested.
Thanks for the really interesting comments, Sue. Nice to meet you. I'll post something more about my ideas on fantasy when I get a moment to come up for air, and sort out my thoughts into something intellibible.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy your stay in my little slice of cyberspace. I would love to hear what you have to say about anything on my blog. I don't always get around to responding to comments, but I do enjoy the occasional "hello".
